Engineering Bay Redux
This is my personal redux of the Engineering Bay mod by SirEvans, uploaded with permission.
Both mods can run together without issue, this mod does not auto-replace his original, although realistically only one mod should be enabled…
The Engineering Bay is a larger Engine Room. Made to be the heart of any thruster setups.
A larger, 4×4 size, Engineering Room offering all the benefits of the standard vanilla part.
Connected thrusters within a 7 tile range get a 50% thrust boost but consume more power. However the Engineering Bay will also act as a central power capacitor/distribution hub for all connected thrusters, including MRTs.
Has a built-in heat storage buffer and will slowly passively dissipate heat, much like a radiator.
Changes from the original mod: Reworked most of the sprites, fixing a few issues with the roof normals and battery placements. The floor plan has been completely revamped to be more in style with the vanilla room. Showcases the heat buffer in an "under the floor" battery.
Overclocking the bay effectively turns it into a large Heat Exchanger, sucking up heat from 7 tiles range.
Should work with most modded thrusters.
I had no issues with the original mod or this one during testing.
