Tiered Breakthroughs
A gameplay modification that changes the random discovery of breakthrough technologies into a semi random tiered system instead. It is designed to make breakthroughs useful throughout the entire game by making them more relevant to research when you discover them initially.
Each breakthrough is assigned to one of three tiers and you are guaranteed a certain number of breakthroughs from each one. As you analyse breakthrough anomalies you will receive a random breakthroughs from the first tier, then the second and finally the third. The list is generated at map generation, same as the original game.
