MOD Introduction

The Plague—an immense cataclysm—shaped today’s Spire. The resurrected traveler, stripped of memory, repeatedly drives their blade into the Heart, eventually awakening the "Dao"—a twisted force that has lingered for millennia around the Spire. Those aberrant beings seem to call it “The Void.”

    []The Aberrated Spire After selecting a character, the Void will select three random aberrations to infect the first three Acts (click the relic [Injector] to view the aberrations for this run). Some map nodes are replaced with “Aberration Monsters” whose powers are influenced by the current aberration. The boss of each infected Act gains an additional enhancement.[]Harnessing Aberration Power Start the run with the [Injector] and [Aberration Gene] relics. After defeating regular Aberration Monsters, you can consume one injector to infuse a card with the corresponding aberration’s enhancement. Start with 2 injectors; defeating a boss grants 1 more. Defeating an aberrated boss grants the related gene, whose effects are displayed on the [Aberration Gene] relic.[]The Void-Blessed Heart After defeating the Act 3 boss, if injectors remain, you can exchange them one-to-one for missing key fragments. The Spire’s Heart is blessed by the Void and gains different buffs based on how many genes you possess.[]Modular Design Like "Packmaster," this mod supports user-made aberration packs. Developers or players can contribute designs and code.

Future Plans

1. Three aberrations remain for the full version. Updates will depend on academic workload (currently a PhD student, so updates may pause at any moment)

2. Add gameplay-impacting settings: control which Acts get aberrations, enable injector cost, firecamp injector mode, adjust aberration generation rate, enable elite aberrations for challenge modes

3. Add tutorial/hint for first-time players about the increased difficulty
