Description:

The E235 Series (E235系) is an EMU operated by JR East in the Greater Tokyo Area.

First introduced to the Yamanote Line in 2015, the E235 series was developed as a successor to the E231 and E233 series. 50 11-car sets (550 cars) were produced for the Yamanote Line, fully replacing the E231 series. A modified suburban variant (E235-1000 series) entered service on the Yokosuka and Sōbu Lines in late 2020, intended to replace the aging E217 series. This variant is composed of 11-car sets (of which there are 2 reserved green cars) and 4-car additional sets, which can operate independently or coupled together as a 15 car formation. 348 -1000 series cars have been produced to date, with hundreds more on order.

The following formations are included:

0 Series (11 Car)

Max Speed: 120km/h
