Trickster MK1212AD Rus’ Names Overhaul
This mod is called to correct historical inaccuracies in the description and some names of the Rus faction.
First of all, the mention of Rurik as the founder of Rus, and the fact that all the princes were his descendants, has been removed. Instead of "Rurikid Dynasty" and "House of Rurik", the more general names "Grand Knyaz Dynasty" and "House of the Grand Knyaz’" are used.
The name of the traits for Kyiv has also been changed and instead of the "Sons of Rurik", the more logical and historically correct "Legacy of Rus’" is used, because the Kyiv principality until recently was a great state of Rus’ and logically, it has a direct relationship and inheritance to this state.
The mythical legend about Rurik has been removed from the description of the faction. After all, the existence of Rurik has not been proven by anyone and is not confirmed by parallel sources, and therefore this is nothing more than a fictional story that was added almost 300 years later to the Tale of Bygone Years to embellish the plot. Moreover, no one came from Novgorod and conquered Kyiv, because Novgorod is much younger than Kyiv. Archaeologically, the year of foundation 859 is not confirmed, most likely it was founded in 930, which destroys the legend of Rurik, because in those years Rus and Kyiv already existed and was a powerful state.
I also prefer to use Rus’ and Ruthenians for state and people, who lived there instead of Russia and Russians, as was before. Because Russia is an artificial name that was taken from the Greek translation of the name Rus’ and began to be used by Muscovy in the 16th century to tie itself to Rus’ and legitimize itself. And therefore has nothing in common with Rus’ and its real self-name.
From the chronicle: «В то же лето поиде Гюрги с сынми своими и с ростовцы, с суждальци, и с рязанци, и со князи рязаньскыми в Русь…» — this means that the Rostovians, Suzdalians, and Ryazanians went to Rus’ (in this context, modern Ukraine).
Or: «В то же лето на зиму иде в Русь архиепископ Нифонт с лучьшими мужи и заста князе с черниговьци стояще противу собе…» — the Novgorodian Archbishop Niphon went to Rus’, where he met a prince with people from Chernigov (possibly soldiers).
The name “Empire of Kiev” was also changed to “Rus’ State”, which sounds more logical, since the main goal is the unification of all disparate princes and the restoration of Rus’.

It just edits some names and description by removing inaccurate and confusing texts about Rus.
