Description:

Qyvaria — Kuvera AI (Erykteria3) + UltraLite — now with QAvery F3 Overhaul

Save-compatible • Always-on • Late-game speed focus • Dynamic AI outcomes • Optional client-side texture minifier

Overview

Qyvaria is a full-spectrum optimization + AI-behavior enhancement for Victoria 3. It targets late-game slowdown without cutting depth: steadier simulation cadence, calmer UI, and an optional lightweight texture path. On a modest PC (i7-6700, RX 480, 16 GB, 1080p Medium) with FPS cap = 60, weeks in 1884 typically pass in ~4–5 seconds at Speed 5 (stopwatch, median of 3 runs).

This combined release folds in the QAvery F3 “systems” overhaul (military + diplomacy + economy + migration) while keeping Kuvera AI’s late‑game stability and UltraLite optional textures.

What’s inside

• AI rework: emergent worlds (Brazil rise; possible African unions; Austria↔Italy pressure; Nordic vectors) with soft anti-snowballing.

• Trade-first economy: AI favors profitable deals/customs unions/partner investment over idle relation spam.

• Performance hygiene: weekly cadence for AI/economy/pathfinding → fewer micro-loops, smoother late-game ticks.

• UX cleanup: Unique/Journal popups stay; routine alerts auto-dismissed.

• Visual trim: cloud overlay replaced by a transparent sprite.

• UltraLite (optional): client-side texture downsizer (25–50% scale) that cuts texture size ≈ 94–75%. Originals untouched; overrides live in the mod.

NEW — QAvery F3 Systems Overhaul (integrated)

• Military doctrine: Artillery hits harder and holds better (+attack/+defense and tech scaling). Infantry shifts to line-hold (higher defense, lower offense). Cavalry matters again (offense, recon, pursuit). Explicit manpower model and uncapped compositions.

• Dynamic militarization: Alliances enable small peacetime armies; AI surges when threat rises. High unit caps permit very large battles when the engine allows.

• Island nations: Navy-first AI + naval tech priority for UK/Japan/etc.

• Reputation (Infamy) logic: Behavior reframed as Reputation; conquering big→small costs more, small→small costs less; releasing subjects reduces the score.

• Subjects & markets: Granting a subject its own market reduces liberty desire.

• Diplomacy & treaties: Company buyouts, paid guarantees of independence, short-term treaty bias (5y easy) and long-term acceptance when sweetened (50–99y). Inter‑bloc alignments simulated via guarantees/war‑goal sharing.

• Migration & SoL: Higher SoL/GDP regions pull harder; political-preference routing discourages moves to hostile regimes.

• Capitals & trading capitals: AI can set a trading capital to the best port even if the political capital is inland.

• Rails & tech immediacy: Railways increase throughput/logistics; key techs grant immediate building uplifts.

• Small↔small investment: Minor powers invest in each other rather than funneling into a hegemon.

Compatibility & saves

• Save-compatible; non-destructive; no new base game rules.

• Namespaced scripts: qy_* (Kuvera core) and qaf3_* (systems overhaul). Backups: conflicting files preserved as .bak_from_Qyvaria in-place.

• Load order: Place after visual/UI mods that touch the same GFX/GUI files. MP-safe when all clients match version and UltraLite scale (if used).

How to use (core)

• Enable in your playset. No scripts required for core AI/systems.

• For consistent pacing, cap FPS to ~60; VSync Off; Texture Quality Medium pairs well with UltraLite.

UltraLite (optional)

• Texture reducer runs locally; original game assets are untouched. Mirror reduced textures into the mod folder before launching.

To use simply copy the code and paste it into your CMD and press enter and it will launch luancher with resizer.

You can create shortcut for it for desktop.

To run Texture Reducer: To run on Linux use cmd: Qyvaria Victoria 3 (Linux) Texture Resizer Activated

To run on Windows use cmd: Windows One-Line PowerShell Installer & Launcher

Benchmark & results (repeatable)

• ~4–5 s/week in 1884 on the modest rig above (Speed 5, median of 3 runs on same save).

Technical transparency

• Determinism: hooks limited to weekly pulses; no on-tick spam.

• Defines/modules isolated; base numbers left alone unless explicitly overridden by qaf3 systems.

• UltraLite uses OS tools (texconv/magick); mirrors to the mod; base files untouched.
