Zaibatsu Connection
"In a distant city that exists in a financial bubble on the coastal edge of a crumbling nation, three families vie for control over the burgeoning metropolis. Over time, a tentative balance has been struck between the information broker Zaibatsu, the ruthless Odede, and the old-world political Varnassi; with each family growing into their own corporate empire. Finally, with the discovery of a technological legend, the Zaibatsu make their attempt at disrupting the established balance and seize the city for themselves. Follow Theo and Emmett as they work from within their elite enforcement unit to discover the power to topple nations."
A fully complete campaign!
FIght your way through 10 fresh and unique locations:
– 1) Compound – Small introduction with a spacious manor converted into operations center.
– 2) Office – "Life-at-work" center where the only letters of resignation are a casket.
– 3) Slumyard – Climb and shoot through the decayed ruins of a neighborhood converted into research labs.
– 4) Block Party – Battle through shops, apartments, and the dance floor as you crash a gang’s block takeover.
– 5) Nightmare – Labyrinthine mishmash of memories half-remembered. You didn’t forget, did you?
– 6) Seaside Docks – Get your sea legs to clear the deck and commandeer a ship.
– 7) Oceana – Deep sea drilling? There’s more than petrol fueling this middle-of-nowhere oil platform.
– 8) Church – Waves don’t stop once you leave the ocean. Crumbling pews aren’t your only cover in this overgrown chapel.
– 9) Foundry – Sprawling underground facility on the precipice of greatness. (largest IV2 map possible)
– 10) Core – The final frontier: there’s no turning back… it’s you… or them…
This campaign was an exercise in making larger levels and was designed for Intravenous veterans with an ever mounting difficulty culminating with some of the largest (if not THE largest) maps and enemy counts to date! Be warned: the road will be long and difficult at times.
No DLC or other mods required.
Intended difficulty: True
Don’t be afraid to save from time to time due to potential crash issues with the engine.
For the crashes: there’s certain quirks with the engine that will sporadically cause CTD (crash to desktop) that won’t even give out an error report, and it’s nearly random when it comes to replicating a demonstration to show Roman for him to fix in the core code. Sorry about any crashes.
Any bugs or errors please leave it in the discussion thread.
Big credit to the Explosive Squat Games discord and all the people who were excited to play through as soon as possible and make the campaign as perfect as possible for everyone afterwards. Make some noise for them as well.
