Biker Boss Invades Horror Land

This is because the first section of this map is entirely driven by voice acted commands embedded in the music tracks!
This is my entry to the Halloween map maker contest 2021, and is inspired by two famous horror films. It doesn’t follow the plot of these films, or take them seriously, but some knowledge of them may help a little. For those not familiar with the films, I’ve placed a few clues as to how to progress safely and reach the end. You do need to find these clues, and you may need some repeat plays to map out a strategy.
When you start the map, just look around and try to find a light switch to get started. My advice is to listen to instructions before being too trigger happy with buttons, there are many traps! I’ll put some hints in the description over the next few days if players are struggling, especially with the cube section.
So the basic story is Biker Boss, in his evil wisdom, is controlling Virtual Reality style horror games. This is just for his own personal fun and has thrown you in it. Work through the map, and break out of the VR setting and defeat him in his lair. Simple right?
The map is quite demanding, despite being optimised to the best of my ability. Therefore, it might not run well on all PC’s. For those with a laggy experience, it’s my understanding the developers are implementing some major performance updates soon for all workshop maps. When this update is released, which is hinted to double performance, this map would definitely be worth another play.
Also this map is not designed for multiplayer.. High amounts of logic used in the level editor is just not multiplayer friendly… sorry!
I’v produced the sounds/music pack so there are no copyright issues there.
