Description:

The 1000 Series (1000系) is an EMU operated by Tokyo Metro on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line.
Entering into service in 2012, the retro design of the 1000 series is reminiscent of the original Tokyo Subway type 1000 used on the Ginza Line from 1927-1975. Despite its old-fashioned exterior, the 1000 series features modern technology with lower energy consumption and noise levels compared to the previous 01 Series. 40 6-car sets had been manufactured, totalling 240 cars.

The following formations are in included:

4 Car (Hypothetical)

Max Speed: 80km/h
Max Pax: 796

6 Car

Max Speed: 80km/h
Max Pax: 1220

8 Car (Hypothetical)

Max Speed: 80km/h
Max Pax: 1644

Maximum design speed is used, operating speeds are 65km/h on the Ginza Line.
Capacity is calculated using 200% crush as the Ginza Line frequently reaches 200% (and above) during rush hour.
