Description:

This mod gives you an option to marry Sun Ren on the first turn she appears. This mod’s primarily purpose is to bypass any distant relative status you may have with the Sun family. After all, distant relations are very murky. The Sun family can suddenly become your distant relative without you being any wiser.

Who’s that pokémon? It’s The Riddler! … No, your jokes are bad xD!

This mod’s core features (see pictures):
-Generates a dilemma prompt for you (any male faction leader except for Liu Bei) at the start of turn 87 (Autumn 207).
-If you accept, marries Sun Ren to your faction leader immediately (IGNORING ANY DISTANT RELATIONS BETWEEN THE TWO).
-Correctly triggers the attitude benefits of diplomatic marriages between the two factions.
-Adds +40 extra attitude with Wu for the event.

Event Requirements:
-Sun Ren must be alive in your save.
-Your faction must not be Wu.
-Your faction can still be Shu-Han but your faction leader must not be Liu Bei. I made separate mods ("BEIxREN") for that, see: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1807789808
-Your faction leader must be male.
-Your faction leader must not be married by the end of turn 86 (Harvest 207).
-You must not be at war with Wu by the end of turns 86 (Harvest 207).

***Author’s Notes: Instead of splitting this event into two turns like my previous "BEIxREN" mods, I chose to make this event a singular one for a multitude of reasons. Namely, there are a lot more variables at play for a mod that is not specific to any one character or faction. By reducing the number of prompts I can increase the chance it’ll work (not to mention future proofing the mod in case CA wants to add more events). This does ruin the mystique of the outcome, but I hope you guys can understand ;).***

This mod’s ancillary features:
-Readjusts the time frame for the Xu Shu joins and Zhuge Liang visit events. This is done to ensure that the mod’s events activate during the incredibly short time frame that Sun Ren is single (Turn 87).
***IMPORTANT: This mod is compatible with saves that have the visit events already triggered. If your save file is on turn 83 and Xu Shu has not joined (and you must have him), you should turn off this mod until turn 85.***
-Disables childhood mortality for Sun Ren (though she could have already died as a child in your save).
-Fixes CA’s Wu version of the event by adding the diplomatic marriage attitude between Wu and Shu.
-Changes CA’s in-game text-reference of Sun Shangxiang to Sun Ren.
-Fixes CA’s programing error involving the faction-wide satisfaction payload. The payload now works correctly.
-Compatible with most other mods.
-Compatible with my previous mods, "BEIxREN" or "BEIxREN_no_trait".
-Not compatible with mods wherein children gain the adulthood status before the age of 18 for obvious reasons.
-Not compatible with mods that increase the number of turns per year because the turn-timer will be off.

***IMPORTANT: As you can tell from the screenshots, this mod will let you marry Sun Ren to Yellow Turban Rebellion (YTR) leaders. Unfortunately, after further testing this marriage will not result in any children. I can only assume that the YTR leaders are hard-coded to be celibate. If this ruins your immersion, turn off the mod.***

***IMPORTANT: Since no one on Steam’s modding discussion board wanted to provide me a copy of their turn 84ish save, the amount of QA I could perform alone was limited. If you have any issues, please comment below. Be prepared to give me a copy of your save along with a list of mods you are using. I’m sorry for the inconvenience.***

***If any grammar enthusiast could be so kind as to correct the event’s text, I’d appreciate it. English is my second language, and I did my utmost best to check and research the grammar used. That being said, I’d really like to learn the particulars of what I did wrong.”

***Special thanks to my buddy, Rie, for providing me his saves.***
