Queensland Railways BB18¼ "Betty" Class Locomotive
The BB18¼ class, affectionately known as “Betty,” was one of Queensland Railways’ most iconic steam locomotives. Built between 1950 and 1958, these engines were designed for mixed-traffic duties across the QR network. Several have been preserved by heritage groups and museums, with a few still operating on special excursion and heritage runs today.
