Description:

Adds pre-columbian trade routes to the Sons of Vinland region.

The Mooniyaang Trade Routes

The Iroquois were known to trade the excess corn and tobacco for fur pelts from the northern tribes and for wampum (shell beads) from the eastern tribes. They traded primarily through gift-giving, gifting goods in exchange for other goods and services. Iroquois clans were also known to monopolize trade routes once they discovered them.

The trade route featured in this mod starts in Adirondack and goes to the north and south, then spreading further eastward. Copper mines have been added in Adirondack and Wolystoq’s trade posts, which is around where copper is mined to this day.

Requirements

Requires either Horse Lords or Jade Dragon DLC.

Compatibilities

Any mod that drastiically changes trade, or alters the map in some way, will probably not be compatible. Probably.

donjulian’s Medieval Trade Routes mod is known to be incompatible.

Era’s Trade Improve is a compatible alternative to the above.

Flint’s Varangian and Radhanite trade route mods are also compatible.

Trade Post Locations

Adirondack – Starting location of the trade route. Trade flows from here.
Etchemins
Natigôsteg
Wabana
Agvituk
Manhattan
Wampanoag
Androscoggin
Wolystoq
Unama’kik

I have elected to not map out possible Norse trade routes from Greenland to the rest of the Americas. If, how much, and where the Norsemen traded with indigenous peoples is disputed academically and it felt weird to have a major trade route present in all game bookmarks. Sorry!
