Some (Light) Western Units for FOTS
I recommend using this mod with my FOTS Western Marines Remade-mod for matching colors for the US and French Marines.
Uploading another mod I made for myself.
This one adds three new western light infantry units (one French, one British and one American). They are elite units and limited to two of each kind and available only when you have a foreign trade port.
All units can deploy outside the regular deployment zones to act as scouts or ambushers .
These marines are specialized skirmishers and are used to infiltrating enemy lines to harass vital targets or flanks. Their Spencer carbines are quick to reload and can cause a lot of damage to enemies from afar. They are not as strong in melee combat, however.
These Éclaireurs (Scouts) from the French Foreign Legion are veterans of the Second French intervention in Mexico and can survive for a long time in enemy territory as well as holding their own in a melee fight against less experienced troops.
These light infantry soldiers are some of the best marksmen in the world. They excel at infiltrating enemy lines and "sniping" their enemies from afar. Don’t expect them to put up much of a fight in close quarters though, they have focused all their training on hitting their targets with their rifles.
-Uniforms etc. aren’t really historically accurate.
-The units names down by the portrait on the left side of the screen in the campaign map will be in japanese. Not sure how to fix it, if anyone knows please let me know. 🙂
