[B41/B42] Toughness Skill
Adds a new skill in the survival category called toughness. This is your character’s mental resilience to the hardships of the apocalypse, with each level reducing the amount of panic, pain and discomfort they’ll feel. Toughness XP can be earned by killing zombies.
It will take about 4450 total zombie kills to reach max level in toughness at x1 XP rates. The new positive trait "tough" provides a starting toughness level of +1 and a x4 XP multiplier, reducing the total number of zombie kills for max level to only around 1000.
Each level of toughness reduces the total amount of panic felt by your character by -10%, pain by -5%, discomfort by -5% and an extra 10% added to the discomfort nullification threshold. This means a character with level 2 toughness will not gain any discomfort at all if the total combined discomfort of their clothes and moodles is at or below 20%. Since the total discomfort pecentage level can go above 100%, level 10 toughness won’t completely remove discomfort if enough uncomfortable clothes are being worn.
If these values are not to your liking the XP rate and stat reduction from toughness can be configured in the sandbox.
This mod can be seen as an alternative to the "become desensitized" mod, providing a more gradual increase in panic reduction as the playthrough progresses rather than suddenly granting the desensitized trait after a set number of zombie kills.
