Steel thundered across the Oder as dawn broke on April 16, 1945. The Seelow Heights loomed ahead—fortified ridges bristling with artillery, the last bastion shielding Berlin. Soviet searchlights pierced the night, turning the battlefield into a blinding inferno, while waves of infantry surged forward through mud and fire. German defenders, desperate yet unyielding, unleashed a storm of shells in a fight to the death. The clash was apocalyptic: a struggle of wills, a crucible of nations. At Seelow Heights, history itself trembled—where the road to Berlin was paved in blood, and the fate of Europe hung in the balance.

This mission features Wehrmacht, SS, and Volksturm defenders entrenched in a series of trench and bunker systems along the forested slopes of the Seelow Heights. Soviet attackers must push across the plains of the Oder towards the heights and into the spider web of interlocked defenses beyond. There is some light scripting with preliminary shelling, as well as forcing functions to keep AI in certain defensive sectors (instead of all clumping up in one objective). This subjects the attackers to a series of mutually supporting defensive networks that have to be methodically cleared out while under fire from others. Enjoy!
