The US National Guard is a federal military force that operates within a state in the United States. Both state and federal government holds power over the US National Guard but are limited to specific laws. US National Guard are deployed in dual missions that depend on federal or state power.

State power are often involving hurricanes, wildfires, floods, civil unrest, and public health crises. Federal power involves national defense, including overseas combat operations, homeland security, border missions, and federal disaster response.

Although federal power is limited, they have more control over deploying the US National Guard in critical scenarios such as a civil war and martial law.

In January 10, 2026, President Trump has declared martial law to deploy the full weight of the US military in response to the Illinois Defence Force (IDF), Antifa, violent anti-immigration resistance, and ICE Agent bounties. Martial law will only be enacted in 3 states including California, Illinois, and Oregon unless escalation spreads nationwide.

US Government deployment of military personal and federal police will include:

– US Army Infantry

– US Marines

– Marine Raiders (MARSOC)

– US Navy Seals

– SEAL Team Six (DEVGRU)

– US National Guard

– U.S. Air Force

– CIA (Ground Branch)

– ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement)

– DHS (Department of Homeland Security)

– FBI (Hostage Rescue Team)

In this stocking announcement, all personal deployed by the US Government are free to engage in combat against any hostile combatant designated by the Trump Administration as terrorist or rebellion force against the federal government. This goal is to set a lesson towards militias, gang members, state funded militarises, and Pax Armata across the US to fear federal order and gain control of the targeted states while enforcing "law and order" in achieving ICE’s goals of immigration enforcement.

This created a controversial shock-wave with critics and US citizens stating this as "Disturbing" or "The Darkest Century of America". Political commentators from both sides of the political spectrum question the authority of President Trump while others strongly support this declaration as "Necessary Evil".
