Description:

💰 Precious Metals & Banking – Victoria 3 (v1.11)

Precious Metals & Banking is an economic overhaul mod for Victoria 3, expanding the world’s financial systems, resource networks, and industrial production.

Built to integrate naturally with vanilla 1.11 and compatible with most mods.

⚙️ In a Few Words

Adds 3 new trade goods: Gems, Silver, and Securities.

Introduces Gem Mines and Silver Mines as new resource industries.

Expands the financial system with Securities trading as well as a Central Bank building.

Implements a new financial need (popneed_finance) for wealthy pops. This need is met by Securities, which represents wealthier pops wanting to own industries both within their country as well as internationally.

Introduces exchange regimes (e.g. Gold Standard) with realistic inputs and outputs.

Seamlessly fits into the mid- to late-game economy with full icon and localization support.

🏛️ Central Bank

At the heart of your financial empire:

Manages exchange regimes (Gold Standard, Fiat, etc.).

Consumes and regulates precious metals to stabilize currency.

Acts as the intermediary between industrial production and national wealth.

💎 Gem Mines

Discover and exploit the world’s most valuable deposits: rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and diamonds, all unified under the new Gems good.
Each deposit features historically inspired distributions, blending realism and gameplay.

⛏️ Silver Mines

A vital intermediate between Gold and Gems, used by the Central Bank for monetary backing and by pops as a luxury investment.

🏭 Integration

Precious metals flow through a new economic loop:
Mines → Central Bank → Gold/Silver/Gems reserves

🧭 Compatibility

✅ Compatible with: most mods

⚠️ Not compatible with: mods that overhaul the same goods or building definitions without patching.

🗺️ Planned Additions

More dynamic financial laws (e.g. Securities Trading Regulation).

Expanded Central Bank mechanics for interest rates and debt management.

Global events tied to Gold Rushes and market speculation.
