Lowborn Rise Expanded
Expands ennoblement functionality to all government types with balanced costs and AI behavior. Rulers can grant nobility to accomplished lowborn courtiers.
Universal Ennoblement System
Grant nobility to lowborn courtiers across all government types:
- Feudal and Clan
- Tribal
- Administrative
- Meritocratic and Celestial (uses influence)
- Steppe Admin (uses influence)
- Mandala (uses piety)
Balanced Costs
Flat 50 gold cost for all governments. Prestige cost varies by government (350 for tribal, 150 for others). Additional resource costs for special governments (influence or piety). AI pays 50% reduced costs.
Rewards
Ennobled characters receive 50% of prestige spent, 100% of gold spent, and gain +1 monthly prestige for 10 years. Mandala ennoblements grant bonus piety.
Restrictions
Player must be top liege (independent ruler). AI must be independent duke or higher. Requires 25 dynasty prestige.
The AI is able to and encouraged to use this interaction to ennoble skilled lowborn courtiers with court positions, councillors, or those who have distinguished themselves in battle. Please report any concerns regarding observations around AI behaviour in the comments, as this is still being tested.
Compatible with all mods that do not add an ennoblement scheme or interaction.
