Hello everyone, I am GG 棒. I spent the whole day studying the guidance from Sister Tama, the author of Character Beautification, in the comments section, as well as the instructive messages from other people in the comments. (I am grateful for the help they provided, which allowed me to share this mod I created)
This module supports use in any language. Please provide feedback in Chinese in the comment section (this is a basic courtesy, as this module is the result of a great deal of my time and effort). I only understand Chinese and do not have the capacity to use a translator to read other languages.
This shielding mod may not meet everyone’s aesthetic preferences, and I apologize for that. However, I created this mod based on the aesthetic standards of people like me. This is my core motivation, and I share it with everyone upon completion in the hope that it can help those who share the same aesthetic sense as me.
Character Beautification, as a beautification tool, is truly fantastic. If you, like me, enjoy creating your own characters, you should definitely try this beautification mod.
By the way, I can’t provide the DNA used in the mod showcase images because it’s DNA I’ve always exclusively used and holds personal significance for me. I don’t like turning into a copy of someone else. (The images are just to show the power of the prerequisite beautification mod.)
This DNA was specially modified from the original random DNA under Character Beautification, particularly using the face-slimming feature in the game. The clothing mods use Lazy’s Skimpy Accessories.
If you want to further improve the overall attractiveness of your characters, you can additionally use Congenital Beauty placed lower in the load order to cover the shortcomings of the prerequisite mod. However, this may cause some features from the prerequisite mod, such as eyeliner, blush, lipstick, and forehead patterns, to stop working.
Introduction to This Mod
[This mod needs to be placed below Character Beautification in the load order to take effect]
This mod adds new code blocks for faceless makeup, eyeliner and eyelashes, and eyeshadow for Character Beautification. You can configure them easily.
It blocks the random generation of age spots, freckles, makeup, eyeliner and eyelashes, and eyeshadow on NPCs by the Character Beautification mod (you can still choose and use them in the Ruler Designer and the Hair Salon, and they will still take effect).
It blocks most of the lipstick colors from being randomly applied to NPCs by Character Beautification, leaving only one fixed, appropriately rosy lipstick to make the characters look healthy and vibrant. (You can still choose and use other lipsticks in the Ruler Designer and the Hair Salon, and they will still take effect.)
These blocks should meet the needs of people like me, and at least satisfy most users who don’t like random makeup on NPC faces.
At the same time, because the author of Character Beautification, Sister Tama, is very busy, the original script-generated character DNA hasn’t been adapted yet. So the original script characters may look strange under the beautification effects. Once Character Beautification is adapted, this will improve. If you can’t tolerate the original script characters not being fully adapted, you can use Congenital Beauty to improve the overall beauty balance of all characters. The drawbacks are listed above.
Also, since the original script characters haven’t been adapted to Character Beautification’s genetic code, some genes will randomly appear at the start that don’t exist. The eyeliner and eyeshadow of script characters can’t be blocked yet. However, facial makeup is already blocked, which is the biggest visual impact, and the remaining randomly generated NPCs won’t have these issues and can be blocked normally.
I left Chinese reminders and text tutorials in every modified file of the mod. If you don’t like my modifications, please don’t suggest in the comments that I change them to fit your personal aesthetic because this mod is primarily for my needs. You can localize it yourself by checking the Chinese reminders for modifications as I mainly blocked things according to my own preferences and shared it on the Workshop to help others. Some decisions were done quickly without being able to fully test which looks best personally, so many are simply blocked for convenience. I apologize for not accommodating everyone’s aesthetic, but that’s reasonable. The core motivation for making and updating this mod comes from my personal needs. I also want to sincerely thank Sister Tama for her guidance.
