Jaggid’s Family Meals
Adds family sized meal options to recipes, which basically allow for cooking more servings at one time and Large Pot recipes for all oven-made drinks.
The recipes are unlocked and unhidden automatically after you have cooked (or otherwise recieved) at least one serving of the food/beverage item. I did it this way so your recipe options are not cluttered for items which you aren’t actively using in your current playthrough.
Also adds the following new recipes:
- Salad – A quick meal made from veggies. It doesn’t satisfy hunger as well as more hardy meals, but it keeps your survivors fed and is easy to whip up.
- 3 New Stew recipes, taking advantage of slow cooking techniques, which takes little time in the kitchen for a survivor, but has an extended device use time.
The first is Mulligan Stew, which is a quick meal and can be prepared on the camp fire, the other two are Tasty meals, and can be prepared on the cook stove or electric oven.
All 3 come only in "family sized" options. - Two new research projects. One which allows you to unlock Desertum-specific recipes on non-desertum maps, and one which allows you unlock non-desertum recipes if you are on Desertum. Useful if you are on the trading scenario and unlock the region-specific ingredients when on a map where the recipes just do not show up.
- Carnivore and Herbivore food recipes as an alternate to slop. Stolen from Waterdragon77’s "A collection of recipes" mod which has long since stopped receiving updates and is now hidden on the workshop.
- Fruit Salad, stolen from Sarge85’s Fruit salad mod which also has stopped receiving updates and no longer functions.
- Mushroomsoup, stolen from Seidenfuchs’ Mushroomsoup mod, yet another that has stopped receiving updates and no longer functions.
If you’re just looking for the ability to craft larger batches of things across the board, I’d recommend Batch Crafting instead. This mod is more for those who want the option for smaller or larger batches without having to muck about in settings to switch between them.
For additional large batch recipe options see Improved Fermenter, Improved Oil Press, Large Batch Recipes and Family Meals.
For those curious, the reason for multiple, smaller mods for these new recipes is because I prefer a modular approach to mods, rather than single, large mods that do a lot of stuff. It’s both easier to maintain as a mod creator, and easier to eliminate any mod conflicts for the end user.
