XHH’s Civilization: Bavaria
This Mod presents the Civilization Bavaria led by Ludwig II.
The civilization’s ability is integrated with the geographical features of the Alps and the Black Forest. The leader’s ability is centered around Great Musicians and Music Great Work. The inspiration for unique infrastructure comes from the fact that Ludwig II funded the construction of the Bayreuth Festival Theatre, which has a unique "Festival Celebration" mechanism.
+1 Food to Improvements on Forest tiles. +1 Culture to Improvements on land tiles adjacent to Mountains or Lakes. All districts (except city centers) will not remove Forest. Complete 15% of the cost immediately when placing Districts or Wonders on Forest, or on/adjacent to Mountain or Lake.
Palace get 4 extra slots for Music Great Works. Each time you complete a Wonder, earn a free Great Musician. +100% Tourism from Music Great Works.
A district unique to Bavaria for cultural sites. Replaces the Theater Square district and cheaper to build. Provide 3 extra slots for Music Great Works. +2 Culture bonus from each adjacent Neighborhood district. When completed, the city can choose one of four random Festival Celebration to hold. (Open the UI through the button in the upper right corner of the city panel to choose Festival Celebration.) For each ten turns, the city can choose to replace the Festival Celebration with a new one.
Bavarian unique Industrial Era unit that replaces the Line Infantry. Ingore movement penalty from Terrain and Feature. +10 Combat Strength when fighting on Hills, Tundra, Snow or Forest tiles.
There are 16 types of " Festival Celebration". After players build the Festival Theatre, they need to open the interface through the button in the upper right corner of the city panel to choose Festival Celebration. The effects of "Festival Events" are as follows:
- 1. Munich Oktoberfest: +1 Production and +3 Gold to Districts and Improvements in this city.
- 2. Gourmet Oktoberfest: +1 Food and +3 Gold to Districts and Improvements in this city.
- 3. Rosenheimer Herbstfest: +15% Science and Culture to this city.
- 4. Bavarian Music Festival: Gain 20 Culture and 100 Gold for each Great Works of Music in this city. +200% Tourism from Great Works of Music in this city.
- 5. Straubing Gäubodenfest: Provide +3 Food and Production to Farm and Plantation within 4 tiles.
- 6. Viehscheid: Each improved bovini resource within 4 tiles provides +5% Production, +5% Faith and +20% Great Person points to its city.
- 7. Abensberg Gillamoos: +100% Holy Site district adjacency bonuses in this city. Double this yields and effects of Holy Site buildings in this city.
- 8. Passau Dult: +1 Trade Route capacity after its first holding. +2 Food, +2 Culture and +6 Gold for Domestic Trade Route to this City.
- 9. Regensburg Dult: +1 Trade Route capacity after its first holding. Each type of building in Commercial Hub, Entertainment Complex or Water Park district within your empire provides +1 Production, +1 Culture and +3 Gold for International Trade Route from this City.
- 10. Nördlinger Mess: +2 Production and +6 Gold to Wonders within 6 tiles.
- 11. Fürth Fädder Kärwa: Receive Food and Gold equal to 15% of your Faith generation in this city.
- 12. Würzburg Kiliani Folk Festival: Attract one citizen from a random foreign city nearby. Citizens in this city provide +3 Gold and +1 Faith, and exert an additional 1 Loyalty pressure.
- 13. Dachau Volksfest: For each turn, every unit can play once Glückshafen Lottery at this Festival Theater, consuming 1 Movement.
- 14. Bamberg Sandkerwa: Provide +1 Production and +2 Faith to districts which is built on or adjacent to rivers or lakes and within 6 tiles.
- 15. Further Drachenstich: +25% Production towards units in all cities. +5 Combat Strength for all land military units.
- 16. Old-Fashioned Dult: Randomly recruit a Great Person that you have recruited before and who has retired (Cannot recruit Great Prophet or those who create Great Works). -25% Gold in this city.
Detailed information about "Festival Celebration" can be found in the game’s Civilization Encyclopedia. When the "Monopolies and Corporations Mode" is enabled, the Festival Theater and some "Festival Events" will gain new effects, such as creating unique alcoholic products, food products, etc..
This mod is compatible with "Harmony in Diversity", and JRN’s "District Expansion: Theater".
This mod is not compatible with multiplayer mode.
