The Last Stand
The Corridor
We were cornered. This clearing, which our cartographers contemptuously named ‘The Corridor,’ became a death trap. The straight road, tightly constricted on both sides by dense hills and ancient trees, leaves no room for maneuver. Abandoned armored vehicles, meant to ensure a breakthrough, now simply clog the pass, buried under moss and mud. This isn’t a battlefield. It’s a bottleneck where every meter of the way must be reclaimed from wreckage and overgrowth. Clear the path through this narrow ‘Last Stand’ there is no other way.
