Google Maps Navigation Light Mode

This is an updated version of the popular Google Maps Navigation Night mod, originally created by Sinagrit Baba.
The goal of this mod is to make the in-vehicle navigation screen look and feel like Google Maps Navigation, with clean visuals and realistic design.

• Simulates a Google Maps–style in-vehicle navigation screen
• Updated colors, map icons, and player arrow
• Speed limit indicator moved to the upper-right corner
• More realistic and modern GPS appearance

• Compatible with game versions 1.53 – 1.57
• Works in single player and Convoy mode
• ❌ Not compatible with TruckersMP

Your load order depends on whether you are using map mods or only the vanilla map.

You only need the main mod.
Recommended Load Order (Top → Bottom):

• Google Maps Navigation Light Mode
• Other mods

⚠️ If you are using dashboard reskins or interior UI mods, place this mod below them to prevent crashes or conflicts.

If you use any map mods, you MUST use:

• A Compatible Background map
• The Google Maps Navigation Light Mode Addon

Without the addon, the navigation may appear broken or incorrect.

Required Files:

• Google Maps Navigation Light Mode
• Google Maps Navigation Light Mode Addon
• A compatible Background Map (for example, a ProMods background map)

Correct Load Order (Top → Bottom):

Brightness Too Bright or Too Light?
Adjust your dashboard backlight in-game.
Press F4 → Change Dashboard Backlight.

Discovered / Undiscovered Road Colors
Color differences are disabled for realism.
Check the world map instead.
(Advanced users can edit def/map_data.sii manually.)

Auto Day/Night Switching
Not possible.
The version with the highest priority in Mod Manager will be used.

Colors or Icons Didn’t Change
Another UI mod is conflicting.
Fix: Move this navigation mod to the very top of your Mod Manager list.

Voice Navigation
This mod is visual only.
You can use any Google Maps voice mod alongside it.

ETA / Extra Info
This mod intentionally keeps the navigation clean and realistic.
No extra data will be added.

Convoy Mode
All players must have the mod installed for it to work.

This mod is not affiliated with Google.
It is a free, community-made mod inspired by Google Maps Navigation.
