Improved Subject Management
This mod now requires the Community Mod Framework
Adds new interactions, modifications, and automations to significantly improve subject management.
Note: The workshop images are outdated, there are far more and reworked features than shown there. See the full list below instead.
- Mode Menu – with various automations and the ability to customize subject rights
- New Interactions to Transfer land between subjects
- Transfer to: Give your subject land, either from another subject or yourself.
- Transfer from: Take land from your subject, and give it to another subject, or yourself (if taking from a colonial nation).
- New interaction to change the capital of subjects – Sometimes they pick terrible locations, or you create a subject with a poor capital location initially and want to fix it later.
- New interaction to change the Liturgical Language of your subject – And adds a decaying -15 loyalty and 1000% change cost to the subject, preventing them from immediately switching away.
- New interaction to block and unblock a subject from colonizing
- New interaction to block and unblock a subject from declaring wars
- New interaction to block and unblock a subject from urbanizing – Prevents them from founding towns.
- New interaction to block and unblock a subject from using the Columbian Exchange – to give you complete control and prevent them from overwriting valuable RGO’s.
- New interaction to join and take over war leadership from a subject – Unfortunately, while this will make you join the war, you will not be able to take over war leadership for civil wars due to game limitations.
- New automatic map sharing feature – Every year, any area discovered by a subject and not by its overlord that borders an area discovered by its overlord spreads to the overlord. This will steadily spread all subject maps to their overlords.
- New automatic join subject wars feature – Every year you will join and take over any wars your subjects are in (note: cannot take over civil wars)
- Block colonial subjects with the same overlord from declaring war on each other.
- You can now enforce peace on your colonial subjects.
- You can select the size of the land to be transferred: Location, Province, Area, Region
- Remove location limitation on what land can be transferred – In vanilla, you will commonly be unable to give a location one province away to your subjects.
- You can freely transfer land between colonial subjects and yourself – You gave them the land to begin with, and in most cases, it’s not better to own colonial land yourself, so this shouldn’t have any effect on game balance.
- Being at war no longer fully blocks managing the land of subjects – Why should being at war with a one-province minor halfway across the world prevent me from giving my newly colonized land to my subject? (You can transfer land between subjects that are in the same war, and you can always transfer land from a colonial nation.)
- Allow calling allies to aid in subject wars – Once you take over a war, you can then call allies.
- Prevent your tributaries from declaring war on your vassals/fiefdoms (but still other tributaries)
- Make overlord always have food access in all subject types (without having to request)
- Make subjects land count for formable requirements
- Allow playing as a custom nation upon release
- Add an option to filter land by unintegrated
- Allow option for making Fiefdoms your religion/culture by default – will be under a non-default game rule.
- Allow overlord to destroy subject buildings
- Prevent subjects from cancelling overlord constructions
- Allow renaming your subjects locations
- Allow selecting the subject government type on release (i.e. kingdom, bishop or republic)
