Lupus Mortem

Five of us were dropped into a thicket of dense, silicon grass to investigate areas of interest. The other five were taken to a safer landing zone, forty miles south to a clearing in the jungle. We lost contact immediately."

The Lupus Mortem, known as "furry" in High Gothic, has become a well documented plague across the stars. Countless worlds have fallen to it’s foul influence. It’s origins are unknown. It could be a foul xenos from a different galaxy, or a crazed warp entity determined to swallow the stars in it’s corrupting grasp. What is known is that the creatures are difficult to slay. Only destruction of the heart can truly defeat the beasts.
