Bzzpy
Bzzpy is a strong aerial fighter with good combo potential. He makes great use of his floaty jumps and floating ability to mix up opponents and land powerful aerial combos to take stocks. Bzzpy also has incredible edgeguarding potential, with his honey-based attacks pushing rivals back without putting them in hitstun.
Using the power of honey, Bzzpy can extend the range of his attacks, create sticky puddles that slow rivals, and power up his special attacks. To make use of these abilities abilities, Bzzpy needs to have a Honey Charge. This can be achieved by charging neutral special, or in a variety of other ways detailed below. Experiment around with the charge and see how it effects certain attacks!
Bzzpy will fire a forceful stream of honey from his wand, pushing rivals back and dousing them in honey. This move has a charging window. Cancel the charge with a Shield input to store the Honey Charge and save it for later. On contact with the ground, the honey will form into a sticky honey puddle.
Bzzpy casts a boomerang made from honey. On contact with an enemy, the boomerang loses its form and douses the enemy in honey. If Bzzpy has a Honey Charge, the boomerang will be much larger, and enemies will stick to it as it moves along. Catch the boomerang on the return trip to earn a Honey Charge (Note: Bzzpy must be standing still to catch the smaller boomerang).
In addition, a small boomerang will absorb any honey puddles it passes to form a large boomerang.
Bzzpy summons a geyser of honey that lifts himself and enemies alike. When used with a Honey Charge, the geyser becomes much taller. When the geyser dissapates, a sticky puddle will be left behind.
Bzzpy twirls around to absorb nearby honey puddles, reusing the leftover honey to gain a Honey Charge. If Bzzpy has a Honey Charge, his control of the twirl will be greatly enhanced.
For his taunt, Bzzpy randomly selects an outfit to put on and show off. His outfits are directly based on Rivals of Aether’s base characters. See how he looks in every character’s style!
In addition, Bzzpy has bonus outfits that are only visible when playing against workshop characters. To see these special costumes, taunt right after attacking a compatible character.
