Titanium Gauntlets [ REWORKED by JW ]
PUNCHES:
=> [LMB] to Punch;
=> [Hold LMB] to do series of punches;
=> [SHIFT + LMB] to power punch;
=> [Hold SHIFT + Hold LMB] to do series of power punches
GRABBING:
=> [RMB] to grab
PULLING:
=> [ALT + LMB/RMB] to pull player to object;
=> [SHIFT + ALT + LMB/RMB] to pull object to player
SHOOTING:
=> [Hold Q or Hold E] for shooting
SHIELD:
=> [SHIFT + RMB] to stand in shield pose
GROUND SLAM:
[R + LMB] to make sort of ground slam
– Punch a gun to Volley. Combo the gun to make it more powerful.
– Pull yourself with both fists simultaneously or in turn.
– S when pulling (S + ALT + LMB/RMB) decreases player`s velocity. It can be useful if you want to take more control to this action.
– Active shield reduce incoming damage: falling, explosions and etc.
– Shield can be used like a mace. Works good with light weight objects. Perfect with cars.
– Two guns can be used at the same time. Sort of rifle or minigun feelings.
– Gun on the ground? Hit it multiple times with gauntlets to increase the counter. It gives you the ability to turn the gun into bomb.
– The rebound of the gun when punching is reduced, so that combos can be accumulated more efficiently.
– Some abilities can be used at the same time.
– Mod is compatible with Destructible Robots mod.
– Sometimes fist can grapple another fist. That happens because of high player`s speed and gauntlets moving too much. When the cross is in the fist, gauntlet grapple it instead of surface.
– I increased space between gauntlets hit points (the left one hits a little to the left, and the right one hits a little to the right.). It is done in order to gauntlets would not hit each other when doing series of punches.
– Player can reach a very high speed when pulling and if player`s body hit the surface, collisions could not register touching in time. The result is player out of the map or get caught by wall.
– Gauntlets affect player`s flight sometimes. This can happen when you jerk the camera sharply to the side while moving at high speed.
I am a huge fun of Autumn modder! I am very sad that she has ended her activities in the Teardown game. She did the best mods in whole Teardown community. I want to express a deepest respect for Autumn. All credit to her.
One more you should to know. I am not a true LUA developer. I can read something and write a few but i can not create a big and complex mod for Teardown. AI helped me on this way. That is why the original code turned into a mess. I am really sorry if someone would want to explore it, i tried my best to optimize it.
And finally… gauntlets. Original mod is one of my favorite mods in the Teardown workshop. I really love the way Autumn developed it! This concept! Despite this, i wanted more freedom. I looked at the wall and thought why can i not grapple it with this hand and pull myself to it, why can i not deal any damage to giant enemies, why am i so slow with these two m*****f****** titanium hands flying in front of me. In my opinion, this mod have a huge potential. I tried to give this mod a vision of how I see it, and I did it as much as I could.
I tried to make gauntlets universal to all king of enemies. However, i think the most satisfying way to play with gauntlets is use Saki`s Entities Spawner and fight against huge enemies like TeaRex, Tearminids, Herobrine and so on. Laggy but awesome! Also mod work great with car chase maps (against cars). Good FPS and a lot of crashed cars! Harder to Survive the Giants map is good too. Giants takes damage in radius around them so that is kind of a challenge to defeat them all.
Perhaps in the future there will be updates adding additional abilities, changes the existing abilities, or edits correcting the balance of the mod.
I also want to apologize for the lack of a settings menu. I tried to do something adequate, however, I must admit that at the moment I am not able to do it. I may add it in the future.
