Mr. Oarly
Mr. Oarly, rich shopkeeper, retired wrestler, and successful businessman, comes to Rivals of Aether! Oarly is a slower, heavy character with lots of grabs and a money mechanic!

Neutral Special
For NSpecial, Mr. Oarly grabs the opponent! After grabbing them, he can move around with them and use 4 different throws. Each throw can be boosted by holding the button and using money!
Side Special
For FSpecial, Oarly dashes forward belly first! He can jump while running, and knock away anyone in his way. Holding forward with enough money also gives Mr. Oarly a boost!
Up Special
Mr. Oarly dives in an arc upward! When landing on the stage, he will dive into his pile of money, and hit opponents when he resurfaces. If Mr. Oarly has a lot of money, he can also dive into the wall of the stage as a mixup recovery option!
Down Special
For grounded DSpecial, Mr. Oarly sets up his shop! Opponents being near the shop will cause him to gain money faster, particularly if they’re in hitstun! The shop can also absorb (some) projectiles and sell them for maximum profit! However, enemies can destroy the shop with enough attacks, so closing it down before they can destroy it can be helpful.
For aerial DSpecial (or when too low on money), Oarly instead rolls up into a ball and bounces on opponents and the stage! Can be held to keep bouncing, and you can hold down for a boost and a stronger hit at the cost of money!
Pay a Thousand Debts
At the cost of 5 million, you can use Mr. Oarly’s special move: Pay a Thousand Debts! This can be activated with Attack + Parry, or by using the Final Smash buddy. A familiar move where Oarly dashes forwards while invincible, and mercilessly makes his opponent pay!
Mr. Oarly revolves around his main mechanic: Money! Money allows him to boost certain moves, giving him more options and better kill moves!
Money is gained from hitting opponents, parrying attacks, etc. Some money is also lost on hit, on death, or getting parried!
Mr. Oarly also comes with his own stage, Oarly’s Shop!
– Jab is a command grab and can either throw the opponent upward, or be used to shake money out of them!
– NAir strikes a random pose each time!
– Mr. Oarly has multiple taunts!
– Some alts may change or add certain effects! Example alts include Wario, Peppino, Morshu, and more!
