Bunnice
Coming from the world of FUNKYHEART, Bunnice hops her way into Rivals of Aether!
Bunn is a close-range, stance-switching character. Make use of her Bunny-Hopping mode to effectively keep up the pressure on your opponents and perform devastating combos! While she may be slow and heavy in her base state, Bunny-Hopping will grant you greater speed and the use of aerial strongs, at the cost of becoming lighter and harder to control.
Use DOWN SPECIAL to activate/deactivate Bunny-Hopping mode! While in this state, Bunn will continuously short-hop uncontrollably while on the ground. In addition, she will gain access to aerial strong attacks. Keep in mind that there is a cooldown between switching modes – you cannot spam-swap!
NOTE: Upon landing any attack, inputting DOWN SPECIAL will allow you to activate Bunny-Hopping mode immediately. Try using this when landing a grounded attack to cancel its endlag!
NEUTRAL SPECIAL
Bunn fires an icy projectile forward, aiding her neutral and granting combo opportunities thanks to its high hitstun. NOTE: In Bunny-Hopping mode, this projectile’s properties are slightly weakened in exchange for travelling faster.
FORWARD SPECIAL
Strike the opponent with a jumping knee attack, leaping upward and bringing the opponent up with you! This attack is useful as both a horizontal recovery tool and a combo tool. If this attack lands, Bunn is able to act again, allowing for potential combo follow-ups. However, if this attack misses, you will be left helpless. Be careful not to jump toward the blastzones with this, unless you’re absolutely sure you’ll be landing that hit.
UP SPECIAL
Have no fear! Despite her little wings, Mavi in her bat form is happy to assist you in recovering upward! …Although, thanks to the aforementioned little wings, it’s a little slow. You’re kind of heavy for a little bat. Makes for a pretty good attack against an opponent that’s high up, though!
