抚顺挖掘机厂生产的机械
抚顺挖掘机厂是曾经中国最早最大的挖掘机生产和制造基地，也是抚顺四大矿八大厂之一，被誉为“中国挖掘机制造业之先驱”。抚挖始建于1904年，原址位于辽阳灯塔，是煤矿的附属机修厂，1905年工厂迁移至抚顺千金寨。1908年更名为中央机械工场，1927年迁至塔湾村并改称抚顺炭矿机械工场。1948年解放后，工厂承担设备修复和军工任务，建国后的1953年被移交一机部管理，1955年试制成功中国第一台1立方米机械式挖掘机，从此正式成为国内第一个挖掘机专业生产厂家。

Fushun Excavator Works (FEW) was the earliest and largest manufacturer of excavators in China, which was one of the so-called “Four major mines & Eight major Plants”. The FEW has been hailed as “The pioneer of China’s excavator manufacturing industry”. The history of FEW can be traced back to 1904, at that time it was a machinery repair factory of a coal mine located in Dengta county Liaoyang city Liaoning Province. In 1905 it was moved from Liaoyang to Qianjinzhai, Fushun. In 1908 the factory was renamed as the “main machinery workshop of Fushun colliery.
