In AD 330, the Roman Empire stands reunited under Constantine the Great, ending decades of civil war and divided rule. This mod places you at the moment when Rome is transformed forever — politically, militarily, and spiritually.
Following the collapse of the Tetrarchy, established by Diocletian to save the empire from crisis, rival emperors fought for supremacy. Constantine, son of Constantius Chlorus, rose through war and loyalty of the legions. Proclaimed emperor in Britannia in AD 306, he defeated his rivals in a series of decisive campaigns, culminating in his final victory over Licinius in AD 324, making him sole ruler of the Roman world.
A seasoned soldier and reformer, Constantine is also remembered for his embrace of Christianity. After his victory at the Battle of the Milvian Bridge (AD 312), he openly supported the Christian faith, legalised it through the Edict of Milan, and sponsored the Council of Nicaea, shaping the future of the religion and the empire alike.
In AD 330, Constantine founded Constantinople (New Rome) in the East — a fortified, wealthy, and Christian imperial capital that would dominate Roman history for centuries.
