Description:

XMS Condotta – Tutorial & Logistics Vessel
by Rhone of the Unburied Fleet

The XMS Condotta is a compact Core 1 utility ship designed to simplify one of Reforged Eden 2’s most confusing systems: acquiring specialist crew. This ship is inspired by the The Argo and The LEV-E77 Orion so it is an early-game vessel that helps you recruit crew and then converts into a repair Helios or landing module. These missions will also generate steady credits and Polaris/Colonist reputation.

Armed with 2 Gatling turrets and protected by a Compact Shield, the Condotta is built for safe travel between settlements while remaining inexpensive and easy to field early. The cockpit features clear, unobstructed entry and exit, making frequent docking and disembarking painless. The ship fits cleanly into Helios Bays and similar carrier hangars.

Inside, the Condotta functions as a guided tutorial platform. Onboard LCD screens explain the specialist crew process step by step, while pre-labeled cargo containers store every Arcology turn-in item, including purchase locations and requirements. The ship is designed to let players stock everything in advance and complete all required turn-ins efficiently.

Storage includes 320k Harvest capacity, ready for a Multi-Tool installation, making the Condotta useful even after its tutorial role is complete.

For survivability and cargo security, the core and vital systems are positioned forward and in the nacelles, away from the bridge and primary storage areas, helping protect valuable turn-in items when things turn sour.

When you’re done recruiting, the bridge roof can accept a repair module of any size and the flight deck can be equipped with storage or mining lasers. The nacelles have space for additional CPU extenders, so the ship also makes a pretty-ok dense ice/ore mining platform.

Specialist Crew Overview:
Specialist Crew are not the standard decorative crew, they give 5k CPU and another minor effect and you can have up to 16 on your ship. Specialist crew are earned after three turn-ins at a single Polaris settlement (Arcology or Colony Platform). The Condotta carries the items, labels the process, and explains where and how to complete each step — no external guides required.

PLEASE NOTE: There will no doubt be players who will note other turn-in and purchase locations in the comments below. I have received dozens of these tips throughout the design of this ship. I have not been able to confirm many of them in the current build. This ship lists ONLY the ways I know work as of the most recent RE2 build at the time of posting (I did about 30 hours of flying around doing turn-ins). An example is that you might rarely get a Specialist Crew from doing the mission at the bar in Polaris space stations. Multiple players have given me this tip, and I believe them, but I have not been able to get a crew that way myself.

Built by the Unburied Fleet not for war, but for preparation.
