Imperial Heavy Cruiser -RE2-
This is the updated and refined version of my original Imperial Light Cruiser I have posted to my workshop page. As the name implies this is a Heavy version with heavy weapons equipped instead of the medium ones from before.
As is it still is only a Core 9 ship and in testing has been able to destroy a Zirax Imerat and a Legacy Infector without sustaining any damage, just shield penetration damage.
If interested, I have made a Core 7 version that is identical format wise with less devices, less expensive item requirements to build and downgraded weapons so you can get the ship in your game sooner and upgrade it over time.

It is not just a weapon swap though. I have gone through and optimized this ship to be as combat effective as possible. The forward underside hanger bay has been removed in order for more frontal armor, thruster placement and decoy (functional) Laser Cannons (Light). The entire hanger bay has been shrunk and placed as the floor of the main production and medial area with a ramp for small HV’s to access. Due to this change I have added a retractable landing pad off the rear of the ship.
As it is a Max Core 9 ship there is still room for 2 Quantum Extenders for upgrades.
One other feature added was the new Energy Barriers that have been placed in front of glass as extra protection that can be turned on and off via the signals tab.
