Attenburg is a Democratic island state. Originally a Monarchy, but converted into parliamentary monarchy and slowly into a full democracy after a "civil war".
Mostly known for their highly advanced and skilled, although small, Military with a long history. Even when out numbered they can hold their own.

Reichheer (1654-1950)
The main Ground Forces of Attenburg. Always equipping the most new that’s available in tech and tactics, even without the Reichheer are veterans to combat, being in all kinds of war throughout their history or sending volunteers in that time.
Königlichheer (1654-1950)
The personal guards for the König of Attenburg and other government officials. Was replaced after the Parliamentary Crisis
Landheer (1950-2000)
replacement of the Reichsheer after 1950, but they kept the same culture.

Parliamentary Crisis | 1950

Years of full scale warfare caused the country to become highly unstable and the Monarchy to be quite unpopularly. Starting from 1948, pro-democratic elements in the Military high command was slowly usurping the Monarchy’s power. 17:28, 8th of December 1950, Pro-Democratic protesters and the Army (Pro-democratic, later to be known as the Landheer) would surround the Imperial Palace, lead by General Gustav. The Government had already caught wind of Gustav forces and had set up barricades, sent in the army and the riot police hours earlier. Large Pro-Democracy protest would also begin on the streets. A counter protest would begin a hour later.
The two sides would not engage in a direct fire fight yet.
22:05, 9th of December 1950. It was clear that neither side would back down. Gustav forces begin sieging the Imperial Palace and fighting would begin against Gustav’s Army (Pro-democratic) and the Reichsheer with support from the Königlichheer.
25th of December 1950. After a brutal siege and street fighting between the two sides, the largest fighting the city has ever seen up to that point, it was clear neither side was gaining much ground. A negotiation went ahead which ended the fighting. The Monarchy lost some of it’s power, allowed a parliament to be created and the Reichheer would be reformed into the Landheer, which will no longer swear loyalty to the König but instead to the protection of civilians.
