The Wrong Kind of Balance
So I had this idea: I wanted every race and class to feel unique. I wanted every unit to feel like they come out of a fairy tale, complete with mystical powers where lore is more important than balance; Cannons ought to one shot, Dread Reapers ought to be avatars of death, Ice Queens need to freeze the water beneath them and dragons should be nigh unstoppable.
So that’s what I did.
I also wanted it to be balanced.
Whether I achieved that is up for debate.
This is an overhaul mod. That means it will work inconsistently with other mods. (That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use it with other mods!)
You won’t experience crashes, but if you use say, the Empire Building Mod, Der Mentat’s new orc units might not get +1 resist when they level up like the base game orcs do. If you add a new race mod, that new race might be weaker than the buffed races from my mod. Things like that.
All that said, try it anyways. I was the one to hit the mod limit back in the day after all, and I was using this mod while doing it. (It’s 32. It’s pretty small, but the devs were surprised all the same.)

There was just a big update as a result of a playthrough of the campaign with my mod

so check out the changelog to see if your favourite thing was removed or a dealbreak fixed!
And finally, if you have any feedback, balance suggestions, questions about compatibility, or things you want to see in the mod, please let me know.
Enjoy!
