About the Mod

The year is 1836, and the empires of the old world are broken.

In the west, the Holy Roman Empire of House von Dreistrom lies in ruins, shattered by Polish followers of Martin Luther and their Hanoverian allies. In the east, the Roman Caliphate fractures as its Basileus converts to Orthodoxy under foreign pressure, sparking furious rebellion among Hellenic followers of Allah, who see this as a betrayal of both Caesar and Muhammad. Once-mighty Sardo-Burgundy, ruler of the Mediterranean, has been bled dry by ruinous wars with Castille and stripped of its New World colonies by rebellions backed by the liberal Norwegian crown.

A new age stirs.
The Norwegian Enlightenment spreads through German beer halls, Scottish taverns, and Roman bazaars alike. Ideas of popular rule and civic councils inspire revolt from Bengal to Brittany. Yet the old crowns do not yield quietly, the Great Mughal Emperor, the joint Polish crown, and the resilient Sardinian court stand ready to drown the world in blood to preserve their ancient realms.

The question remains: can the old order survive the tide of nationalism?

This mod is a full alternate-history conversion based on a long-running Mega Campaign played by the development team since mid-2025, spanning Crusader Kings → Europa Universalis → Victoria 3. Rather than a simple save conversion, the campaign has been reimagined as a coherent historical setting with bespoke lore, divergent geopolitics, and nation-specific narratives shaped by centuries of prior decisions.

Each major nation features long-form Journal Questlines, branching paths, and lasting consequences that shape both the homeland and its colonial sphere.

Core Features

Deep Alternate History Setting
A fully realized world shaped by player-driven history rather than vanilla assumptions.

Nation-Specific Journal Questlines
Multi-stage journals unique to each nation, with branching outcomes and long-term rewards or penalties.

Long-Form National Arcs
Journals are designed to span decades, rewarding sustained strategic focus rather than short-term optimization.

Meaningful Strategic Divergence
Nations pursue mutually exclusive paths, industrial versus societal reform, internal consolidation versus external expansion, with irreversible consequences.

Integrated Colonial & Subject Gameplay
Colonies and subjects are active participants in national success or failure, not passive resources.

Featured Nations & Their Unique Paths

The Sardo-Burgandian Empire (In Progress)
A continental–colonial hybrid power struggling to reclaim its shattered legacy.

Colonial Reclamation of South America
The Empire embarks on a decades-long effort to reassert control over weakened or lost South American domains.

Journal paths focus on:

Reintegrating former colonial administrations

Competing with rival colonial powers

Balancing metropolitan authority with colonial autonomy

Success restores imperial legitimacy and global prestige. Failure risks permanent fragmentation.

The Mughal Empire (In Progress)
An ancient empire forced to modernize under relentless external pressure.

Modernization Under Fire
The Mughal state must reform its military, bureaucracy, and economy without collapsing politically.

Wars Against the Shun Dynasty
A defining long-term conflict that forces hard choices:

Military reform versus traditional power structures

Industrial catch-up under wartime strain

The outcome determines whether the Mughals emerge as a modern great power, or disintegrate beneath reform and war.

The Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth (Semi-Finished)
A vast but fragile federation standing at a crossroads.

Eastern Ambitions or Internal Renewal

Siberian Expansion: Push eastward for land, resources, and prestige

Internal Consolidation: Focus on governance reform, social cohesion, and economic modernization

Each path reshapes:

State stability

Military doctrine

Long-term development potential

Overextension or neglect can permanently weaken the Commonwealth’s position.

Tver (Finished)
Last holdout of a series of once powerful Estonian states.
Help Estonian rebels in Poland succeed and revive the medieval Estonian Kingdom.

The Kingdom of Norway (In Progress)
A rising northern power forging its own model of modernity.

The Northern Century Journals
Players choose a defining national focus:

Industrial Sciences Path

Heavy industry, metallurgy, and colonial extraction

Stronger industrial output and military capacity

Social & Cultural Sciences Path

Universities, education, arts, and administrative reform

Long-term population quality, innovation, and colonial integration

This choice shapes not only Norway itself, but how effectively it governs and develops its overseas empire.
