Faction Overview — High Vale War-Host
Eryneth the Fey Huntress leads the High Vale, a nomadic Asur war-host that traverses the world rather than holding traditional territory. Rooted in the sacred traditions of Avelorn yet touched by the wild magic of Athel Loren, Eryneth’s host thrives through diplomacy, trade, and selective alliances rather than empire-building.
Faction Mechanics
• Traveling War-Host Economy
High Vale’s economy is sustained by trade routes and diplomatic partnerships.
Securing Defensive Alliances with factions you already trade with significantly increases income, rewarding careful diplomatic play and long-term cooperation.
• Dual Heritage Skill Path
Eryneth’s personal skill tree divides into two branches:
Path Focus Benefits
Asurian Lineage Ties to the Phoenix Court Enhanced army healing, durability, empowerment of Eryneth and Phoenix units
Asrai Wildblood Avelorn and Athel Loren influences Ranged buffs, stealth utility, and Fey magic shielding effects for allied units
This choice defines whether the High Vale fights as regal defenders of Ulthuan or elusive spirit-guided hunters of the deep woods.
• Fey-Infused Support Abilities
Though not a spellcaster, Eryneth wields unique supportive and protective abilities, channeling the blooming, crystalline magic of the forest to sustain allies and disrupt foes.
Diplomatic Objectives & Quest Items
Eryneth’s identity is shaped by all branches of her lineage. To fully realize her potential, she must form Defensive Alliances with:
Eltharion (High Elves)
Orion (Wood Elves)
King Louen Leoncoeur (Bretonnia)
Each alliance unlocks a unique quest item, enhancing a different aspect of Eryneth’s power:
Ally Reward Effect
High Elves Strengthens Fey barriers, increases spell intensity, improves survivability
Wood Elves Grants immunity to Athel Loren attrition, boosts ranged power and firing range
Bretonnia Enhances melee defense and frontline resilience
These artifacts embody the three realms that shaped her—court, grove, and chivalric friendship.
– Flavor Lore
A descendant of the lost realm of High Vale, Eryneth is among the few Asur to walk a path so closely bound to the forests of Ulthuan. Where others see the wilds as dangerous or untamed, she hears the whisper of Isha’s grace in every leaf and stream. Her devotion to the old ways sets her apart from her kin, yet she bears the Everqueen’s favor and the quiet respect of many.
