(I like the idea of regional recruitment from older TW games, so I don’t include this in the base mod, even if global recruitment also simplifies things a bit.)

There are mods in the workshop already doing very similar things. You can treat this mod as a combination/compilation of them, with my own twists(this mod itself is 100% done by myself ofc).

This mod allows every HE factions to recruit Shadow-walkers directly and also allows non-Avelorn/Yvresse factions ways to recruit all the Tree Spirits/Mistwalkers units with tech and skills bonuses.

If you encounter any bugs especially weapon damage related, please report!

Shadow-walkers/Shadow Warriors:

– Can now be recruited from lv4 Groves

– lv4 4 Groves is now available for Avelorn, also offer a way for Avelorn to have more Handmaidens than other factions

– Moved Shadow Warriors to lv3 Groves

In tabletop Shadow-walkers is almost the same as Shadow Warriors, just an upgraded version with points. In this game basically all regional troops are available to all HE factions. Don’t really think Shadow-walkers are special enough to be treated like Mistwalkers.

Mistwalkers(non-Yvresse factions):

– Can be recruited via allied recruitment and/or owning Tor Yvresse(kinda like my Reiksfort mod)

– Tor Yvresse remains as if occupied by Eltharion even if it is occupied by other HE factions

– Build Mistwalkers’ Sanctum to increase unit cap

– Can be recruited directly from Mistwalkers’ Sanctum if you use the submod

AI should not build the Sanctum if the mod works(or at a very low chance).

(Testing)To allow AI to recruit Mistwalkers via allied recruitment(and not wasting building slots), all HE province capitals now also increases the cap at lv3-5(cap value halved except Knights of Tor Gaval). This also increases the overall unit cap as a side effect.

Tree Spirits(non-Avelorn factions):

– Can be recruited via allied recruitment and/or owning Gaean Vale

– World Root Enterance remains as if occupied by Avelorn even if it is occupied by other HE factions

– No unit cap

– Can be recruited directly from Asuryan Temple if you use the submod

Unit Buffed

– Athel Tamarha Faithbearers – Huge buffs given. Now sit between Tzar Guard and Mirror Guard. Refer to Update 4 notes for details.

– Knights of Tor Gaval – gained Martial Mastery

Miscellaneous:

– Replaced Gate Guard garrison at Black Citadel of Anlec with Silverin Guard
(Gate Guard are not at the Elven Gate anymore, and it seems that are not in official lore. Maybe it’s why the got removed? The Gate Guard here maybe an oversight?)

– (CA finally did it themselves in 7.0 GJ Sofia)Sisters of Avelorn now gain reload time reduction bonus from Archery Prowess(tech) and armour bonus from Strength of Avalorn(tech)

– Noble’s and Handmaiden’s trait ‘Honed’ now also affect Mistwalkers infantry and Sisters of Avelorn(since Shadow-walkers/Warriors are included)

Remarks on tech and skills:

– Since Mistwalkers are like nobles/honour guards, I tend not to group them with militia units like OG Spearmen

– Since most tech descriptions don’t fit the Tree Spirits, I put them at each Military Advancement research. I have no intention to change most of the tech titles and descriptions for now

– I cheat to speed up my testing

– I might(or might not) fix the tech/skill descriptions in the future
