Europe – 1919 – Communism on the Rise

In a weird sense this is an updated version of my old 1920s map, just more chaotic tbh.

1919, The Great War has Finally ended.

After the Great War Many in Germany saw discontent within the government leading to not 1 BUT 2 Communist Revolutions, South Germany Breaking Apart, and Former Monarchist creating a military Junta in the North with hopes of recreating the German Empire that was sitting with much stability not even a decade ago.

Germany

German Military Junta – Mainly formed with old Generals and Political Advisors for the German Empire, The Military Government stood up in the North with many ports to it’s liking, they were able to keep many of Germany’s Naval Ships but lack oil to maintain such ships.

South Germany – Mainly created by Bavarian & Austrian Nationalist, The South German Republic had hopes in united Austria and South Germany under One Banner, however due to the more popular movement of communism rising up and the Bavarian Soviet Socialist Republic already with such plans (and with more Luck) They slowly have been pushed into a corner where France and Switzerland is.

Bavarian Soviet Socialist Republic – Many Bavarian Communist (or Just South Germans in General) decided to declare independence from The German Empire right before the War ended, at first they didn’t really get any recognition until they actually started advancing North. The Only real threat now is the Communist up North who despise such an Idea, and the South German Confederacy who has already been majority integrated.

Weimar Republic – Being the most unstable of them all The Weimar lack anything for themselves besides having one of the most progressive, liberal, and democratic nations in Europe for its time. The Weimar does has many planes and Military factories since it does own Brandenburg, but lack literally any resources due to the blockade on all fronts.

Silesia – Simply put, they don’t want to die. Silesia lacks a lot of support from it’s own population, many see themselves as either "Prussian", "German" or don’t want to be with Silesia, a backwards and rural state.

German Soviet Socialist Republic – They have most of the North, having the second biggest Navy in the German States and have the Military Backing of The RSFSR and Hungarian Soviet Republic. GSSR only really lacks in economy due to the blockade from the British Navy and ongoing war with the German Junta. GSSR is the most likely of success just because of the Backing from other Socialist Nations, but still has fear from the Kingdom of Lithuania who has ties to the German Junta.

Austria

Austrian Republic – Despite its name having "Republic" It’s still majority ruled by Habsburgs since honestly, who the hell would Austrians vote for? Leading to this the Republic of Austria is more like a Constitutional Monarchy (a very democratic one at best).

Austrian United Socialist Workers Republic – Having similar goals to Bavaria AUSWR have dreams of united South Germany, but unlike Bavaria, the AUSWR also has plans on carving up Switzerland, and Sudeten Bohemia.

Russia

White Russian Movement – Made up of the Northern Corps, South Military Government, and Kolchak’s Russian Government the White Russians are probably the most divided. At first they argued about a Republic or Monarchy but after the Tsar and his Family stopped breathing Oxygen because of lead bullets the question came down to "What kind of Republic?" Some Argued for a Constitutional one, where a related member from the Tsar would take his place with a democratic congress and the King who would make his choice (like early British Republicanism), But most wanted a more normal democracy since that kind of government already kind of failed. As Italy started getting fascist movements, Many in Russia saw this, and wanted to do some similar, only causing more division…

Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic – The RSFSR (led by Lenin) was the Biggest and most successful communist country the world has so far seen, with the Soviet-Polish War starting, This is a chance for the RSFSR to regain Poland back to mother Russia! Ukraine also has been existing but they have been choking on a nut so who cares? This breakup from Ukraine only caused another communist nation, "People’s Republic of West Ukraine" To Form, which doesn’t matter because they are also quite pitiful. Down in the Baltics Communism has been pushed slowly out by Estonian and Latvian Forces. Lithuania also had but nobody seriously cared enough about Communism in Lithuania. Caucasia’s, Georgia and Azerbaijan while having political drama, both still work together to push out the Communist, and seem like they may form a Caucasian Union? Down South of these two Armenia has been chipping away at the Ottoman Turks, and with many Kurdish Immigrants Armenia might have a chance to form greater Armenia. Also Armenia has been looking at Persia since many Armenians live their.

Balkans

Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes – KSCS (also later called Yugoslavia) has made friends with Romania and Czechia to get rid of Hungary, but down South The Fragile Bulgarian Government had a Communist Civil war, and invaded Macedonia and Southern Romania, while pushed back they could easily fracture the Republican government in Blagoevgrad if things go accordingly. Croatian nationalist also declared independence and have been a pain to even deal with.

Hungary – While not always consider Balkan their still invading Romania and KSCS so idc. Hungary losing over half their lands despite being against the very war they fought (referring to the great war) had a communist coup and invaded Slovakia, and Romania. KSCS would join right after, so Hungary is now fighting a multiple front war they can’t keep up with, But then Bulgaria (an Old Ally) also had a communist coup, but turned into a civil war. But Still MORE FRIENDS! Hungary and Bulgaria also have Support from Germany & Russia so that’s nice too.

Bulgarian Democratic Socialist Republic – Have Hungarian, German, and Russian Backing but still in a weak spot with their capital near the enemy, and have had economic reforms that have helped it economic.

Republic of Bulgaria – Not even a Republic, just called that by high ranking authorities to fool those who don’t look close to details. ROB (lmao) has backing from the Little Entente & Allied Powers but honestly they’re fate is already sealed.

Ottoman Turk Republic – Ottoman Turk, also once know as the Ottoman Empire has been consider the "Old Man of Europe" since the late 1800’s and now that their empire has been collapsed Britain, France, Italy, and Greece have all invaded the Anatolian Peninsula and seem to have all made some decent progress. This Turkish republic however has been ruled over a man named "Mustafa Kemal Atatürk" and seems like he maybe able to secure Turkey as an Independent state.

Romania – Greater Romania has everything, Northern Dobruja, Transylvania, and Bessarabia, now they need to secure it. Bulgaria in its ongoing civil war seems like they might take back Dobruja if the Social Democrats win. Transylvania is under Hungarian Threat ever since it turned Communist.
