Granada Flavour Mod
New Events, Reforms and Advances for Granada and Al-Andalus.
As the game is currently in a rather um…questionable state of playability I decided to start modding it instead. So here it is, some content for…Granada?
Now I know what you’re thinking – "wtf??? Granada?? didn’t they get BTFO’d by the Spanish like 150 years after the game starts??? You idiot they only last like 5 years in game LOL!!!"
Well, you wouldn’t be wrong, but did you know that in 1337 Granada was actually entering their golden age? Neither did I until I went and looked up what they were doing during this period. Turns out a lot can change in 100 years (you may be familiar, like I was, with Granada’s rather horrible situation in eu4’s start date). Granada/Andalusia also has a lot of potential for ahistorical content. What would the new world look like without Spain and Portugal and a powerful Islamic emirate in their place? Anyway, that’s enough yapping from me…here’s the stuff you probably clicked on the mod for!
Currently the mod contains the following content:
[+] 10 new dynamic historical events for Granada, mostly focused on the events during Granada’s golden age (the reigns of Yusuf I and Muhammad V).
[+] 1 new advancement for Granada and 3 new advancements for Andalusia.
[+] 1 new government reform and estate privilege for Granada.
[+] Reworked formation conditions for Andalusia, instead of requiring the ENTIRE Iberian region and not a single Christian state in sight, you now merely require 66% of provinces in Iberia. Forming Andalusia will also make you kingdom rank if you aren’t already.
Future plans and other ideas in my head, note none of these are concrete plans.
[ ] Granadan War of Succession disaster from eu4
[ ] More dynamic historical events, as well as ahistorical events surrounding a resurgent Andalusia (how would the rest of the christian world react? Event chains for choosing whether to build an overseas colonial empire or restoring the borders of the Umayyad caliphate? (or both???)
[ ] Mission Tree??? (I actually have no idea how missions work in EU5 as I haven’t used them once, seems pdx haven’t really done anything with them yet either?)
[ ] Expand the scope of the mod to other countries. Other interesting underdog countries or perhaps just general flavour for a variety of countries
