Unblockable Thrust (1.3.x)

Make thrust attack can only be blocked by shield, parrying, or chamber blocking. Normal block will cause the attack to crush through enemy.

In Bannerlord, thrust attack sometimes doesn’t make any sense. you can precisely aim your thrust attack to any body part, to be blocked by invisible force just because the game rules.This is 100% fine from game design standpoint. but from realism standpoint I feel it’s a bit weird.

thrust attack (upward attack) aimed to leg won’t deal any damage

downward thrust can be aimed to head

you can no longer safe from thrust attack just by holding your weapon above your head

• Use shield. 
• Physically move aside. with good athletics skill, you can easily dodge thrust attack by simply moving
• Parrying. Parry is quick blocking just before the attack connect.

When thrust attack is blocked, I do check if it blocked using shield, if it’s not, I mark the attack as "Crush Through". Crush through is the same mechanic where two handed axe attack can bypass correct blocking direction. As for damage calculation itself, I’m not touching any.

• Q : This is OP and not balanced!
  A : Yes. Bannerlord combat design are already balanced, it’s simple, you do up attack, you block up attack. the AI also has been programmed to do so. If you prefer more balanced gameplay, just skip this mod.
• Q : The damage is too low / too high!
  A : I don’t touch any damage calculation, the final damage is really depend on which part of your weapon touch the body, body part armor, thrust momentum etc. If you have mod that enhance thrust attack, that might also affect the final damage output
• Q : Can you add extra damage?
  A : No. My goal with this mod is simple, make thrust attack can only be blocked by shield, parrying or chamber blocking. Altering damage is not on my menu. and there are many mod out there already altering damage calculation
• Q : Is it compatible with RBM?
  A : Yes. in fact when make this mod, I test it with RBM on. just load this mod after RBM
• Q : Safe to Install on existing save / Uninstall anytime?
  A : Yes. this mod doesn’t write any save data, so it’s safe to be added / removed anytime
