Susie, The Axe of Justice SMASHES her way into Rivals of Aether!
Notable Moves:
Dash Attack: A leaping dash that damages opponents towards the end of the leap. Great for edge-guarding, but be careful not to KO yourself!
Down Strong: Attacks in-front of and behind Susie. The second hit (the one that attacks behind Susie) has increased damage and knockback from the first, so be sure to use this to get early KOs!
Up Strong: Sends Susie up when used, great for anti-air and finishing combos, but has the least damage and knockback of her strong attacks, so it will KO late.
Down Air: Sends Susie spinning down until she hits a solid surface. Can move slightly to the left or right during the descent. Opponent’s hit by Susie when she lands will be sent further back with increased damage (similar in strength to Susie’s Down Strong second hitbox).
Neutral Special: Press the input to fire Rude Buster. Will travel a medium distance before disappearing. Pressing the input button again towards the end of the attack will fire Red Buster instead – with increased damage, speed, and knockback, but doing so will put the move on cooldown for longer than normal. Neutral Special will also beat most projectiles so it’s an excellent neutral option.
Forward Special: Press and hold the input button to ready Ralsei to be thrown. Can change the direction Susie is facing by pressing the left or right input. Release the Forward Special input to throw Ralsei at an arch. Opponent’s hit by Ralsei will become pacified and unable to move for a brief period. Use this to close the distance or continue combos for devastating damage! Ralsei will be destroyed by other projectiles, so make sure to throw him wisely.
Down Special: Press and hold the input button to charge up Lancer’s bike power (can be charged 2 times indicated by the horn honking). After a brief period or by releasing the input, Lancer’s bike will charge forward with Susie on it. Damage and knockback dealt will increase based on the charge level when released, with max charge being a great KO option. When used in the air, Susie will fall slower, allowing her to use the move as a horizontal recovery option.
Up Special: Kris appears to throw Susie up into the air. Has good vertical range, but low horizontal range, so make sure to use it wisely since it puts Susie into pratfall at the end. While ascending after being thrown, Susie has a hitbox that will knock anyone away if they’re hit.
This is my first Rivals of Aether character mod, so it may be unbalanced. Feel free to suggest nerfs/buffs to this character since I’ll be listening to feedback and implementing accordingly.
