Description:

DISCLAIMER: this is just a beta and the character is gonna get updated for balancing, adding features, compatibilities, etc.

Waxed Lightly Weathered Cut Copper Stairs is a resources management character, with great stage control and decent combo game, WLWCCS can also low profile by crouching and punish with d-tilt.

Resources: Every time WLWCCS hits an opponent, it gets 1-3 copper ingots depending on the damage, there’s also a chance of getting a pumpkin instead (more on it later). These items are important to be able to use special moves. You can normally hold 64 ingots and 1 pumpkin.

Specials:
– N-special: WLWCCS throws a block, it’s a solid object, deals damage when moving that varies with the speed of the block. Other moves also spawn it. Costs 9 copper ingots.

– U-special: WLWCCS builds a stair out of WLWCCS, to build it, you need to hold down the special button to place the stairs, they are platforms that you can stand on with each one costing 9 ingots, being a quite expensive recovery tool.
Tip: you can place one stair and air dodge to land on it to regain your jumps!

– D-special: At the cost of only 3 ingots, WLWCCS places a lightning rod that after a few seconds, summons a lightning, it’s a deadly attack if it catches an opponent off guard.

– F-special: By far the most complex and versatile move in WLWCCS’s kit, it costs 9 ingots and a pumpkin, creating a totem that spawns a chest and a golem.
Chest: it’s a passive copper generator, it has 17 HP, it’s also capable of slowly healing its health.
There are also double chests, they generate items faster and have 30 HP, can be acquired by placing two regular chests next to each other.
Copper Golem:
Behavior: Will stay idling until a block or rod is detected, then it will pick it up and use it to attack.
Holding a block: The golem will chase the nearest opponent and then throw the block towards it, blocks thrown by a golem take severe landing damage to stop it from using the same block forever.
Holding a rod: While holding a copper rod, the golem chases the nearest opponent until the lightning strikes, once it happens, the golem gets destroyed.
Oxidation: golems have a meter above them, once it’s empty, the golem deactivates, being vulnerable to be knocked out of the stage, the meter drains faster when hit, and you can deoxidize the golem by hitting it with a axe move (jab and uair).
When you press taunt the golem taunts =D

Other attacks:
Here are some propriety of some moves that are important to know:

– U-tilt: Very long ending lag, but it cancels on hit and gets some extra height, leading into an air combo, it’s a high risk high reward move, using it to jump off stage isn’t a death sentence, but there’s no reason to do so.

– F-tilt: Long range but low knockback, it’s a poking tool to help you get more items, the spear can also be angled up and down.

– D-strong: WLWCCS uses a shovel to dig a copper ore then breaks it with a pickaxe, the pickaxe hits very hard but it’s easy for the opponent to escape since it’s so slow.
Breaking the copper ore gives you copper ingots.
– U-strong: WLWCCS launches a block upwards, therefore, it costs 9 ingots, the longer you charge it the further it goes. Using it without being able to afford still has a weak hitbox.

Other:
Wall jumping grants you +2 copper ingots.

Skins:
– There are a total of 32 skins and each one has a unique sfx and sprite for: items, blocks, stairs, and d-strong blocks.
Wooden skins have different sfx for spear (f-tilt).
– Skins unoxidazed copper, swaggiest stair ever (netherite), iron, gold, diamond, emerald, and lapis lazuli have a shiny particle that spawn in every object.
– Redstone skin emits redstone particles.
– The unwaxed skin can oxidize.
– Purpur skin uses an end rod instead of a rod.
– X.C.O.P.Y. skin has its own intro animation, and taunting with it lets you shape shift into the opponent, in this state to can’t attack, and you can’t copy your self, base game characters and more complex workshop characters (like guardian or puppet), if it fails to copy the opponent a special animation plays.
A successful copy can have bugs when interacting with certain characters like floaty jumpers like Sans, or characters with more than 1 animation in one sprite, like Muno’s Goku, copying him will cause your hair to cycle between transformations.
