Description:

Pikachu from the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series is ready to explore and prove their strength across the world of Aether, or wherever else they may end up.

While many of their attacks are similar to Pikachu’s from Super Smash Bros., their special moves are completely different and use some of the different items from the PMD games.

Special Attacks

Neutral Special: Treasure Bag
Pikachu pulls a random item out that can be thrown afterwards. You can only use special attacks while holding an item, and you must throw an item to get rid of it.
Geo Pebbles are fairly basic. They are slightly more common than other items.
Iron Thorns fly in a straight line and launches in an angle dependent on the direction thrown.
Stun Seeds have a stun effect, self explanatory.
And Treasure Boxes are strong and don’t get thrown as far. They’re slightly rarer than other items.

Down Special: Wonder Orb
Place one of three weather Orbs onstage, cycled through in a set order. Orbs affect the area around them.
Rainy Orbs increase the strength of your Strong Attacks.
Sandy Orbs deal damage to other players overtime.
And Hail Orbs create a hitbox in set intervals.
Using Down Special while an Orb is out detonates it. You can only place one Orb before needing to land. Orbs can be broken by enemy attacks, putting Down Special on cooldown.

Forward Special: Quick Attack
Not quite the same as the Super Smash Bros. version, Quick Attack is a forwards dash with low startup and high endlag. Landing the move significantly cuts down the endlag, as well as restoring your double jump if it had been used already. You can also angle the move up or down slightly.
Quick Attack can interact with Wonder Orbs, collecting the Orb without any cooldown. This is very important for recovering back to stage.
You can also interact with Treasure Bag items to catch and reuse them, if you want to show off a bit.

Up Special: Whirlwind Wand
Pikachu swings a Whirlwind Wand downwards to propel themselves upwards. If the special button is held down at the peak of your accent, Pikachu will swing the Wand horizontally to attack as well as gain slightly more height. Using this second swing prevents you from fast-falling during your decent.

This character started development just over 2 years ago, and I really wanted to finally get them finished before this year was over, so a large amount of the work was done in the past few months.
It took a bit of time to get them to a point I felt content with, and I almost stopped working on them entirely a few times.
That being said I hope you enjoy them.
