Description:

Rome Ascendant: 300 BC & 49 BC Campaigns

This mod for Total War: Rome II offers two distinct grand campaigns, allowing players to experience the full arc of Roman history — from the struggle for Mediterranean survival to the absolute dominance of a united Roman state.

Primary Campaign — The Punic Wars (300 BC)

The first campaign begins in 300 BC, at the dawn of Rome’s rise to greatness. The Republic stands as one power among many, surrounded by rival kingdoms, federations, and empires competing for control of Italy and the wider Mediterranean.

Carthage, the Hellenistic successor states, Italic confederations, and tribal powers all stand in Rome’s path. Expansion is uncertain, victory is earned, and survival is never guaranteed. This campaign is focused on strategic struggle, republican politics, and the brutal wars that forged Roman supremacy, culminating in the era of the Punic Wars and Rome’s transformation into a Mediterranean hegemon.

Imperator Augustus Campaign — United Rome (49 BC)

The second campaign shifts to 49 BC, reimagined as a United Roman faction standing at the threshold of imperial rule. The age of civil war is resolved — the Republic has been consolidated under a single Roman authority, laying the foundations for empire.

With internal division suppressed, Rome now turns outward. This campaign emphasizes imperial governance, consolidation, and global dominance, allowing players to command the Roman state at the height of its military, political, and administrative power, as it reshapes the ancient world under one banner.
