Operation Epsom – The Scottish Corridor
Operation Epsom began on 0730 26th June 1944 with a huge barrage on German postions west of Caen near Cheux and Saint-Mainvieu. The Operation would create a area known as death valley or The Scottish Corridor. VIII Corps would be the main Corps to advance into the jaw of the 12. SS Panzer Division Hitlerjugend they would pay a heavy toll for this operation but draw in countless German Panzer Divisions if not the best of Germany.
In this Scenario take charge of 2nd Battalion Gordon Highlanders with support from 31st Tank Brigade and 79th Armoured Division in there struggle to take Cheux. Keep the platoon commander (1st Lt Williams) alive as he is needed to take both objectives. He is a CANLOAN officer, there were many that fought with the British Army.
