Here Goes the Sun [MP42.13+]
If your survivor lived for years, they spent three-quarters of their entire life watching the exact same sunset, again and again and again (except during storms).
It’s time to put an end to that.
Spring and summer feel brighter and more alive; autumn comes with golden, brown and muted palettes; winter brings icy, grey or deep-blue tones. Golden hour? All yours.
Muted colors and dim daylight transform rain into a claustrophobic, cinematic experience that slowly wears the player down.
Every day the game picks a new variation based on season and probability, never random noise.
I aimed to avoid collisions with climate mods. Preferably load it last, just in case.
Designed from the very beginning to create photographic, atmospheric moments in every season.
To keep compatibility high and revive his BRILLIANT idea, they are included.
No new world required. Just enable and enjoy.
I’m open to all feedback and ideas. My coding skills are somewhat limited, but if inspiration strikes, I’m absolutely willing to experiment.
Future ideas:
- More morning variations (currently one per season)
- Chromatic moods for nighttime
- Rare lunar and solar eclipses
- Better blending between god rays and the day’s palette
- And probably even more daily color variations, because I can’t help myself
