Add a clerical education path for children, linked to the presence of a guardian from the clergy, with dynamic XP gain, an education completion event, and a unique interaction to accelerate their progress.

Adds a new clerical education trait in 3 levels: Religious Interest, Religious Vocation, and Accomplished Clerical Education. Each level grants Learning, monthly Piety, and improved opinion of the clergy.

Children with a guardian who is a member of the clergy sharing their faith automatically enter this education between ages 6 and 15.

At the end of their journey, sufficiently advanced children can receive a special event allowing you to confirm or refuse their religious vocation.

Each year, on their birthday, a child with a clerical guardian gains Clerical Education XP. The amount depends on both the intelligence trait, virtuous/vicious traits, and the Education skill of the child and their guardian.

Reaching 50 XP advances the trait to level 2, and 100 XP to level 3, unlocking the best bonuses.

At age 16, the trait is removed and replaced by a permanent modifier, depending on the education’s success (complete, partial, or failed).

A child following the clerical path with their guardian will receive one event per year (triggered within the year) that allows them to change one of their traits, gain a new trait, or increase their experience in the clerical education trait.

If a 15-year-old child has the maximum level of clerical education as well as the Curious or Thoughtful childhood trait, a narrative event may trigger.

The scene revisits their years of study, the influence of their guardian, and the growth of their faith, then asks you to choose their future.

Choices:
– Encourage the vocation – the child gains a devout trait, a positive “Clerical Education” modifier, and you gain Piety.
– Refuse the vocation – the child receives a “Refused Vocation” modifier and you lose Piety.

New interaction “Encourage Clerical Education”: spend Piety to give extra XP to a court child who already has the clerical education trait.

Usable only on living, non-adult, non-imprisoned children, with a one-year cooldown per target.
