Fixes and Rebalances for Faction Upgrade (Sand Ninjas)
I LOVE the Faction Upgrade series made by Azamat97El, and I think they usually do a decent job with balancing, but I found the one for the Sand Ninjas to be way too strong in the early game. I tried a run on the Rock Bottom start and the armor I got from a random dead blade carried me for way longer that it should have, and the reward for beating the Sultan was underwhelming by the time I was strong enough to actually take him on.
You get 15k for turning him in, in comparison, you receive 30k for the Dust King, and their stats are not even comparable, the Sultan could probably take on Dust King Tower all by himself.
Sultan’s bounty is now anywhere between 30000-40000, plus a few thousand cats on his inventory. All of his armor is Specialist with a chance of Masterwork to compensate for the fact that he is the only source for it aside from the shop on Eagle’s Nest, which will also be gone if he is dealt with.
The quality of Leather Cuffs on Sand Raiders is the same, as their protection was never the problem, but rather the colossal bonuses which make you incredibly busted. These have all been halved, which may sound harsh, but I should remind you that the halved Dexterity bonus is still more than twice the bonus on the Assassin Rags.
A few items have had their acid resistance removed to make them less of a perfect pick for almost all sitautions, and the Sultan’s cloak has actually been buffed slightly.
The chances of their shop selling High quality items has been slightly increased as well to make an alliance more worthwhile if you want to oppose the United Cities.
Finally, many item names and descriptions that lacked capital letters and punctuation have now been fixed, alongside a few instances of the game still using "Sand Ninja" instead of Sand Raider.
