Description:
Deadly Units expands the battlefield with new, powerful, and versatile units. As the name implies, these are elite forces—fast, deadly, and impactful. The mod also introduces new abilities, buildings, and emplacements. Existing units remain mostly untouched, with some balance adjustments to keep them competitive in some cases. The goal is to expand upon the vanilla experience, not replace it—delivering more variety and excitement to every match.

What brings this mod to the table:

💠 New custom units with their own unique portraits and icons, abilities and strengths.
💠 New custom buildings, towers, walls, gates, defensive emplacements like (flame) cannons or turrets.
💠 Generals (basically boss units) for each faction, each with his own unique abilities etc. They also serve to gain access to new buildings that open up to more powerful late game units.
💠 Limitations to mortar type units. I don’t like mortar wars and especially AI loves to spam those units. I don’t delete these units but I aim to limiting them.
Obice and the M2A1 howitzer are the biggest problem and can no longer fire in fog of war. However I made it possible to build them in your HQ which was not possible in the vanilla game. This should hold back players back so they do not blow up the enemy base without any effort. You can still do it by having view on it of course.
💠Unused units added. Not my focus. I focus on new custom units. But if i find new ones that I feel adds to the mod I will add them.
💠 A integrated zoom mod.
💠 AI support. AI enemies will use the modded units for the most part (there are some exceptions which I dont think would be fun for the AI to use).
💠 Increased difficulty. AI will push fast with greater numbers. They also have acces to certain (modded) units faster then the player and more resources then you have… You will have to think twice before charging in.
💠 The Battlefield Espionage battle-group i feel needed a big boost, no one plays it. It now has a very powerful starter skill unit. Giving it a good advantage in early game.
💠 Delete unwanted emplacements like bunkers from the field.
💠 Edited abilities like the kamikaze airstrike or Incursion Strike which is a more powerful version of Infantry Assault.
💠 Forward barracks in ambient buildings like in COH1.
💠Compatible with mods like Annihilation+ and Advanced AI. Be sure that "Use Custom Economy AI" is Disabled in AAI if you want the AI to use this mods units.

💠 My Deadly Snipers mod will be integrated into this mod: click here. Deadly Snipers recreates snipers into well… actual snipers. They have around twice the sight and firing range they normally do. Making them actually useful in the field. Higher cost to compensate. AK and UK will both have their own version of the sniper as well to counter other factions snipers.

Be aware that the screenshots show a lot of outdated units. I always add new screenshots when adding new things but I always keep tweaking units as well in all sorts of ways. View it more like a general idea of how the mod is.

The focus of this mod is to bring powerful units to all factions so you can have those units to push trough tough enemy lines. The longer a fight continues the more powerful units you will get. Some units are easily powerful enough to break any stalemate. Not like most games that you are stuck and it results yet again in another nuke war or having your allies nuke the enemy base which totally ruins the fun. Limiting mortar type units will limit these nuke wars a bit while not removing them from the game. Though I try to even the fields on all factions, expect some end game units that are really powerful which are fun for PVE but probably not for PVP. Therefore this is a PVE focused mod.

Currently the mod is in a mostly completed state. My focus now is fine-tuning and keeping the mod up to date cause new patches can break unknown things unfortunately. New stuff will be added so now and then when I feel like it.

Whermacht:
Some changes to the Tiger Tanks.
– King Tiger now has improved health and armor
– I changed the call in ability from the Breakthourgh battlegroup for the Tiger Tank to the Tiger Heavy Tank Ausf. E.
History wise this was a late model so i used that to make a slighty more buffed Tiger Tank sitting in between the normal Tiger Tank and the King Tiger tank when it comes to stats and it lets you deploy 2 tiger tanks on the field in total. Should make this battlegroup a little more worthwhile

UK:
A slight nerf for the Piatriots. You can now only spawn 2 max. These guys detroy tanks for breakfast and 4 was still far to powerful. I dont like one unit dominating the battlefield in mass numbers.

AK:
The Fritz bomb which was pretty useless, is now changed to the Fritz X FPS Dropper 3000.
This modified version is very much like the V66 bomb from the Whermacht. However they do slightly differ in that this bomb does less damage and might not take out heavy tanks in one shot. On the other hand this bomb has a wider range then the V66. It cant take out HQ’s in one shot even if it reaches it in some maps, has a big cooldown and fairly high cost.
